Good day, I am a basic in this world of linux, but I intend to evolve my knowledge in the area of pattern and management of networks. My problem at this moment is the following one, has the one small network of about 10 users, with Windows 98, 2000 and XP. In times I configured the samba with protocol tcp/ip, and all they saw in the network browser, however I had hardware problems, and in the new installation you scheme them are not seen in browser of network, not to be that it has netbeui activated in the customers. Possibly I will have some active option that would not have, therefore together sending mine script of smb.conf. I thank to all attention and excused aid.

Hello,

We need more information to troubleshoot this problem.
Did your smb.conf file change after the hardware problems? If not, what was the hardware failure? Did it involve swapping out a NIC or did you have to re-install the OS after a major disaster?
Are any other services provided by this machine accessable?
Can you access your samba shared from the samba server using smbclient?
