Hi,

I am trying to configure a Cisco 800 series router to use ppp w/chap authentication, when I type in ppp autehntication chap on the BRI0 interface I am getting the following error message:

"AAA: Warning, authentication list "default" is not defined for PPP"

How can I enable this?

This question is probably really straightforward, i'm pretty new to router configs so im at a loss.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

which version of code are you running? Also, can you add to your config: "no aaa new-model" save and reload?

I don't think you need to worry, it's just a warning after all, I get these as well and all my isdn stuff works fine, they don't stop anything working... Have you tested your dial yet?
