I need help configuring an ISDN PRI TIE Trunked to CISCO Catalyst 6000 Gateway. So far I have configured loop in ld 17, Configured DCH in ld 17, Configured route in ld 16 and configured trunks in ld 14. Also configured CDP/DSC. The problem is that I am able to complete calls via 4-digit dialing between the switches but I can not make an outbound call from the Cisco. Nor, can I make an incoming call to the CISCO. Only 4 didgit dialing works.

I am using NI-2 Interface. Not sure if M1 should be NET or USR?

Any ideas?

'K,

The first thing to look for is the statment on the gateway/router. I had the same problem until I added the statment of isdn-flip-chan-flag on the router its self. I'm using a cisco 2610XM as the gateway with a VWIC 1MFT-T1 blade. If your comfortable, shhot me your e mail address for more off line. Have you tripple checked the dialing plan on the CM? what version OS are you running?

My e mail is eplett@chi.navtech.com

Dang.....I need to learn how to read.....The M1 needs to be the Network and the Cisco is the user. Thats are set up. and yes you can use a tie line with NI2 provisioning. Thats my configuration.

I did not buy a Qsig package for the implementation. We are doing a 1200 user world wide implementation with no outside source such as Cisco or SBC. We have had many questions they themselves could not answer. We found them on our own.
We were able to get 60 phones up for a pilot inhouse and it's working great! With unity and Unified messenger.

EJPTELECOM, GLAD YOU GOT YOURS TO WORK , I POSTED THE PARAMETERS FOR THE SAME APPLICATION AS YOURS, EARLIER IN THIS THREAD , I'VE DONE TWO AND DID NOT NEED QSIG.

I have used TIE trunks on EuroISDN for connection between Cisco and M1X11C. Everything works perfect. Also you can find all information regarding connection to the Nortel Meridian 1 on Cisco.com. Good luck.

Ok, so I don't need QSIG (guess Nortel was trying to get more money as usual.

Thanks to you all. I really appreciate your help. I am going to check all my config. again, and again until I figure this out.

Thanks again

I am having this same exact issue. I tried to set the PRI card to a tie line but got SCH0520 error.

SCH0520
NI-2 basic call only supports COT/DID route.
When CBCR =3D NO and IFC =3D NI2, route type has to be either COT or =
DID, TKTP =3D COT/DID.

This drove me nuts for about an hour because the 0520 error was not in the book that I had...

What version of software on the PBX do you run?

Severity: Minor

Any help is greatly appreciated..

twmoody Despite what cisco says, the NI-2 interface does not seem to work. Print this thread, the responses I received from it help me.

What is your PBX switch type?
What is the IP switch type?

I should be able to help you figure out your problem.

twmoody If you are using Nortel M1 opt 11 - 81c. Try using D100 or SL100 interface on the M1 side. The M1 should be set as the URS. If using Cisco CM set the interface to DMS100 and make it the NET. Make sure to configure the trunks group and make sure the NCOS is set high enough to allow the outgoing calls from the CM.

Hello,

I am using a Nortel NTAK09BA RLS02 DTI/PRI card with a tie line, as stated in the Cisco docs. I have the IFC set to DMS100 and have no problems. The config has been up and running for 90 days during a pilot with 40 phones in 4 locations in the US.

E me at eplett@chi.navtech.com if you want a copy of my configs. Send a fax number too if you would like a copy of my 2610 Gateway router configs.

Rick

Hi,

Tonight I am going to upload the configurations to my website. It will be on the Nortel side plus the gateway router 2610 config. During the next couple of days I'll upload the Call manager side. Remember, this is a live call manager so some configuration in the Trunk Configs, RLI's, ADAN's, CEQU, RDB's, CDP's, and Numbering Plans are specific to my installation and numbers will be XXX'ed out. It is for reference only.

Tonight it can be found at
