Config file

I'm having a problem with my app's configuration file:
I've made a .config file in the "bin" directory of my app (that's where the exe resides), but every time I recompile my project (from VS.NET), I loose the configuration file.
Is there a way to preserve the file .config?
Am I missing something (options)?

In your project you should have an app.config file. Make the changes here. When you recompile these changes will be put into the one that is in the bin directory.
