If I put in GatekeeperDiscovery=YES, do I need tp put in PrimaryGKAddress?
NO, GK discovery will overrule the Prime GK address.
If I put in GatekeeperID=LIM* to I need to put in PrimaryGKAddress?
------(??)
What is the meaning with Automatic GatekeeperDiscovery?
See Below!
The automatic GateKeeper discovery (AGKD) means that the host/extension "automatically" searches (and is able to find and register with) an ELU32 board/the MD110.
Without stating an Ip address of a board (ELU32) in the network menu of the extension nor in the config file.
Just set the Auto GK discovery to Yes in the config file.
When there 's a router between the extension and the ELU32 the ICMP must be turned on on the router, in order to have multicast request (GK discovery routine= multicast request) to be forwarded by the router to the boards.
Load Balancing is the even distribution of registrations of extensions among ELU32 boards.
The Load Balancing (LB) is closely related to AGKD:
For LB you have to state the following in the MD110. You have to make ONE of the ELU32 boards as ENTRY Gatekeeper by
IPGKC:LIM=[,GKID=][,TMLOAD=];
If only 1 ELU32 in the LIM, then leave out GKID. Stating the parameter TMLOAD makes the LB functionality and the board in stated LIM is Entry Gatekeeper.
Entry GK manages registrations.
Values for TMLOAD= 00-10 (Any value higher then 00 is ok, default for Entry GK is about 5 (seconds)).
The Entry GK has information about the registration load of all other ELU32 boards in the system and thus has the capability to manage the extension registrations among the boards.

Is there one Entry Gatekeeper per LIM or only one Entry Gatekeeper per system ?
I'm a bit confused.
If you don't have Automatic Gatekeeper Discovery and you don't have load balancing but you do have multiple ELU32's in a LIM, can an extension be registered to any one of those several ELU32 boards or must it be registered to only the Gatekeeper for that LIM ?
For example, we have two ELU32's in LIM 13 but I have been unable to get an extension to register to the second ELU32 board, even though I manually set that extension's GateKeeper address to the second board.
Yes, I checked using both
>IPGDP:LIM=13; and
>IPGKP:LIM=13,DIROPT=YES;
If I set the Gatekeeper in the phone to be the IP address of the first board 13-0-60, all is good and the phone registers.
If I set the Gatekeeper to the IP address of the second board in 13-0-62, all is bad and no registration occurs.
IPGDP showed only 50% free, even when no extensions at all were registered to LIM 13. I expected it to show 100% free.
With two extensions registered it shows 47% free.
Perhaps one of our ELU32's is misconfigured. I don't know what to expect exactly but this doesn't seem right. This is very new for us - our first use of Ericsson IP phones.
Can you give IPBOP:BPOS=13-0-60&13-0-62;
When you have dialog 4425 IP-extension you can test the network connection between IP ext. and board using telnet.
For example you have IP extension with IP address 172.16.1.8 and Ip board 172.16.0.22.
Log on to extension with "telnet 172.16.1.8".
Then you must log on the Vxworks interface with username admin and password Ericsson.
When you are logged on try find a moment of silence, because information is twinkling down your screen.
Then give: ping "172.16.0.22". MIND the "".
When you are not able to ping your network is misconfigured.
Maybe default gateway netmask of either device (board or extension). Maybe hardware/cable. Can be a lot of things going wrong.
About the % of subscribtions like 47%. Strange In my case when registering 1 extension I have 97% free.
When possible you can try IPURI.

During installation of the boards, 13-0-62 had been manually blocked for some reason. Now that it's unblocked, I have 97% free. When the board was blocked, the ping tests were still successful.
Your other tips regarding VxWorks came in very useful. I used VxWorks to remotely change the Gatekeeper address for an extension and then used IPURI to force re-registration. I now have extensions registered to both boards in LIM 13
