Sorry,
I forgot to give more information. I´m managing a VPN Frame Relay (WAN) with 4 branch offices (three 3com 3C2XX routers and one Cisco 805 router) and 1 central office (3com router 3C2XX). The company is expanding more 2 branch offices and it adquired two Path Routers (Cyclades) to install on each new branch office. I already checked LMI, DLCI´s and link integrity with Telecom provider and all are OK. The protocol on both routers interfaces (Branch->Cyclades and Central->3com Offices) goes "UP" but I can´t ping one router to another. I´m sure that configuration in Cyclades router is OK, because I had tested this in other link but communicating with Cisco router. I know that We had to configure an additional command "encapsulation frame-relay IETF" when linking with Frame Relay network a Cisco router with a Cyclades because the same problem occurr, We can´t ping from Cisco to Cyclades and vice-versa. Have I to do a additional configuration on 3com (Central office) router too ? Please, help me !!!
See some information of both routers configuration:
Try to add IP addres to exact DLCI. In basic you have to tell that this specific address is on this DLCI.
Command should be near to this - but check reference guide for you version of software:
>ADD –IP ADDR <remote IP netaddress fr.> @<dlci number>
You can display all know addresses:
>show -ip address
I have had same problem with 3com and NortelNetworks routers,
please just check MTU on 3com and on Cyclades. 3com software is often buggy and it reports different MTU. And if both ends have differen MTUs you have CRC errors on all packets.
Check system FR statistics on port (show -sys stats)for errors.
