Does anyone know if it is possible to
set up a conference with 4 participantswith the MD110? 2 of them are external
callers. If so, could you please us how to
do this? Than you very much!

Ok I have never done this before but here is what I found.

If you do a

ASPAPARNUM=90

It should tell you how many callers are allowed in a Conference call. You can then change the value with

ASPACARNUM=90,PARVAL=XX

However I am not sure if there are other settings that would affect this, and if you could have 2 external calls.
Can anyone else clear that up?

Does the PARVAL of PARNUM 90 still need to be set to at least the same as the NTC for this to work or are they 2 different things? For example we have PARNUM 90 set to a value of 8 and the NTC set to 6, If I dropped the PARNUM to 4 would we still be able to have 6 in a conference call?

FORMAT:
ASPACARNUM=90,PARVAL=(3-8 participants)

FUNCTION

The parameter states maximum number of participants in a conference call. (Maximum number of participants in an emergency conference is always 8.)

The maximum number of external participants in a conference call is set by SY-command.

EXAMPLE
Maximum number of participants in a conference call shall be 6.
PARNUM=90,PARVAL=6

HI ADV3 Was your question how do participants set up a conferrence or how to set the paramaters?If you do as Jaydee2002 says and check ASPAPARNUM=90 then set this for 8 you can have eight people taking part. Cheers

- to check the current setting for the number of external parties allowed in a conference call, use:
SYDAP;
- to change the value of NTC (Number of Trunk Connections), use:
SYDAS:NTC=...;
(this number can be set to anything between 0 and 8, but makes no sense to set it higher than the current value of PARVAL minus 1)
