I'm stumped on this one...user one has established a conference call, total on call..three people...when he tries to add an internal person (call the internal person 2222) to the conference call he cannot. This is a continuing problem only with extension 2222. I've checked 2222's station profile and it is no different than others in the office. When others have tried to establish a conference call with extension 2222 they fail as well.

Any suggestions?

Is it an analog phone? Analogs can only conf 3 people. You can however conf 5 others, then transfer the conference of 5 to an analog phone (for 6 people total).

Thanks for the response. It's a digital phone...6424D+. The problem is unique to this individual. Have not had any problem with conferencing up to six people on any of our other phones.

Explain exactly what you mean by "he cannot". He calls a person, presses conf, calls a 2nd person, hits conf. Now he has 1 line appearance lit and is talking with 2 people. FROM THIS POINT....what is happenning? He presses conference and does not get a dialtone?

It's the extension (2222) that cannot be conferenced on.
The originator has established the conference call and wants to add 2222 to the call. The originator presses conference dials 2222 and cannot add 2222 to the conference call. My feeling is that there is a problem with extension 2222. Other users when trying to add 2222 to a conference call also fail. When they try to add 2222 to a conference call there is nothing but "dead air", the people already on the conference call simply hear music on hold.

Thanks for your help with this one!

Radioguy2,

check 2222 extension's cor for calling permissions.

On your system-parameters features, there is a setting for the amount of parties you can have on a conference, both with Public Trunks (external) and without Public Trunks (internal). Make sure that they are both set to 6 for maximum number of callers on a conference call.

Thanks for your responses. Ext 2222 has the same cor as the other extensions. In sys par internal and external conference settings are both six.

Four things, What release are you running (1) and (2) copy and paste x2222 here, all pages. (3)When you do a status station 2222 do you see any send calls or call fwd set. (4)Can you originate a conference from x2222 itself and add other members.

Boy is my face red! Thanks to everyone who offered solutions. We are running release 12i.02.0.111.4. We were about five releases behind prior to upgrading to 12i.
The assistants establishing conference calls would place the caller on hold, dial the desired extension, establish a connection and then press the conference button. They did this rather than simply pressing the conference button. This worked under the release we had been running prior to the upgrade. With the new release there is a third step involved, if you are going to use the hold button, whereas during a conference call you have the option of selecting people to be dropped from the call. The old release would drop the last conferee added and proceed from there.

Thanks again for your helpful suggestions.
