How can I use the Flash button on an analog phone to conference in a third party. Pressing the Flash button now will just hangup my first active call.
Thanks

Make sure that SWITCHHOOK FLASH is set to yes on page 2 of the station form.

If this is set to yes you should be able to press flash, get a dial tone, dial a number and press flash again to complete the conference. To transfer you do the same except instead of pressing the flash button the second time you would hang up.

Switchhook Flash is set to Y and it's still hanging up the call. Is there are Flash Interval field somewhere in System-parameters? It's possible that my flash interval is set for too long (or too short). Thanks,

Phoneman

Check page 6 of system parameters: Sample below:
FEATURE-RELATED SYSTEM PARAMETERS

CONFERENCE/TRANSFER

Abort Transfer? n No Dial Tone Conferencing? n
Transfer Upon Hang-Up? n Select Line Appearance Conferencing? n
Abort Conference Upon Hang-Up? n Unhold? n

And Page 9 Again Sample Below:

Allow Conference via Flash? y
Flashhook Interval? y Upper Bound (msec): 1000
Lower Bound (msec): 200
Forward Disconnect Timer (msec): 600

Change only one option at a time until it works so you know what fixed it.

Hope this helps

1a2 to ip I seen it all

Also make sure "data restriction" is set to no on the station form. This will override all other settings.
