I have asked this before but I wanted to clear some things up. I wanted to know if it is possible to use our sx200icp v3 to have conference calls were the callers may call at different times and either have the operator put them in the conference or dial a number themselves. Someone mentioned before about having a non-busy extension but I've already tried this and it is absolutly the most pointless feature. Non-extension does not work from outside callers or CO trunks. They cannot dial the extension and be transfered in and neither can the operator. The only way it works is if you directly dial the extension from an internal phone. And even then when you are patched into the call you get a warning tone and then it keeps on beeping every 5 seconds. There has to be another way to do this without having to dial the callers outbound everytime.

Still Non-Busy Ext is your best bet. The warning tones are a system option. Im not sure why you cannot transfer a caller in as I have set up this excact scenario numerous times and it works.

I have to admit I cant remember if I ever tried with CO trunks so maybe this is the issue.

Have you at least read the documentation on the feature?

i guess i have to pay mitel more money to buy the stupid blade for the managed application server which does the same thing it can already do.

The Non-Busy ext does not like CO Lines or calls transfered from the console according to the manual.

Sorry, I cant think of any other solutions.

On Sx 2000 LIGHT Soft Ver 34.1 U can use CO (LS/GS trunk card) with Answer point a Non-Busy Ext. - I know that because I use an external loop ONS port conected to an LS trunk to increase the conference capacity.
For trannsfered calls I don't know, because I've never checked - we have also DID PRI - E1 and don't need transfer for external callers.
The only big disadvantage in doing conference with Non-Busy Extension(s) in that U need an human op. to first answer and hang-up at finish (maybe operator in your case).
Also as kwbMitel said bip tones are system option (we don't have this problem)
