Conference Call - white noise

I thought upgrading our 403 from 2.0 to 3.0 might solve this problem.

When I try to create a conference call between three internal phones - pressing the conference button results in white noise.

I have ip403 ver 3.0 DT 16 all up to date firmware but problem existed in 2.1(27)when was loaded.

Gradually losing it with Avaya, our distributor has dropped in favour of Alcaltel - we have stop selling these products.

Sounds like you have a bad conference chip in your 403. Does it happen every time you try to create a conference call? Only on internal?

If it is a bad conferance chip - is that easy to replace?

What version of 3 are you runing on your DT?

Also check is your system set to ALaw or Ulaw. This will cause that issue

US is U-LAw
Rest of world is A-Law

Seriously your best bet is to open a ticket with Avaya and hope they replace it for you. Is it still in warranty?
