Conference button won't work

I have a CS1000 system with a m2008 phone connected when she presses the conference button it will let her dial the extension but won't let her connect the other party after they answer. here i the setup. What am i missing?

I still suspect user error. Or, the button caps for TRN and AO6 aqr on the wrong keys

Not a user error i tried it myself and the check the button caps also.
 
I suspect the user is trying to conference not to an "extension" but to a steering code or outside number. In that case, there are many variables, such as trunk disconnect controls and End of Dial timers.

Is the user trying to conference with an "internal" extension or something number outside your system?

we tried to conference to both inside extensions nd outside numbers it will not work with either.
 
so what do you get when you press the Conf button the second time

So what are the steps involved in creating this conference call?
- Call party 1
- press CONF call button
- get stutter dial-tone and make second call
- talking to second party
- press CONF call button to connect all callers
 
Have you tried another phone, just to rule out potential hardware issues with it?
 
I have had the same problem on a Rel 6..... Trf before answer = OK, but supervised trf = fail.

This is not quite right actually as I found that if you went back to the originating caller, then the transfer could take place then.

The solutuion... not sure.... I have a large network, so did a comparison, and changed values in LD 15 and the issue disappeared.

The value that I think it was was: FTR IHD to IHA (individual Hold). There were a few others as well, but they do not fit the symptoms.

Let us know if it does not work
