Hi All,

I had been told that the only way to change the password on conference bridges was through the Voicemail Pro software. In a previous thread it was suggested that there was another method available. I did a search in this forum for "bridge" without any luck. Can anyone help me with how to use that feature.

Thanks,
Mike

create a user defined variable to hold the confrence pin

in you call flow for the confrece use a menu to ask for the pin & then compare the user vasriable to $key beforwe transfering to the conf.

to set/change the pin create a new call flow with a menu & set the variable to $key

Thank you so much for the quick response.

I have to admit though that this assumes I know a lot more about this system than I do.

>create a user defined variable to hold the confrence pin

Where are variables defined?

>in you call flow for the confrece use a menu to ask for the pin & then compare the user vasriable to $key beforwe transfering to the conf.

Is this done in the Voicemail Pro application where I am changing the password today?

>to set/change the pin create a new call flow with a menu & set the variable to $key

Where is this done? Would that be a new short code that I would define from scratch? Would I need one for each conf bridge or could I let the person select the bridge # on the fly?

Thanks again for the quick response and I appologize for being so unknowledgable.

Copy the .wav files to x:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\Wavs\enu\Custom (assuming you are using the ENU locale)

Create 6 User Variables
varConfPass1
varConfPass2
varConfPass3
varConfPass4
varConfPass5
varConfPass6

Import the two modules in the .mod file.

Import the Short Codes in the shortcode.csv file.

Dial *83 to test. Dial *5 to change your password.

Ohh and the user variables are defined in Voicemail Pro.
I know I previously said I'll let you figure that one out for yourself but you asked nicely so I figured I'd help. I may often come off as a complete a$$ but I can be a nice guy at times. I am just passionate about this system and people who disparage it because of their own technical short comings bug me...I am not lumping you into that category and those who belong there know who they are.

Let's see the Magix or Partner do this!

Thank you soo much!

I also really like the system a lot and it is hard to not sound like an A$$ when you are typing a post sometimes. There are just a few things that need a little polish.

I have worked with other systems and it can't be beat for small or medium business. There are some things that our old key system did that this one does not and we new that going in. There were enough new useful features to make the jump and let go of the old ones.

I'll try this and let you know how it works. I do have 9 bridges so I'm assuming I can just create a few more of the files.

Thanks again,
Mike

PS. This forum is awesome!

This isn't the fanciest way to do it but it is rock solid. You can always add more lines and variables to make more bridges.
