I will be installing a new IPO SE v10.0 system with VMPro. I am trying to get a specific application of a conference bridge working for the customer and have almost everything working but I'm missing the last piece of the puzzle. The customer wants there to be a moderator and not have the participants talk with each other before the moderator arrives. This I have working using the extension number as the bridge number. What I now need to figure out is how to give the moderator the ability to join the conference without being at his extension or calling into the system using FNE codes. They want to be able to call in from anywhere using any phone and be able to log in as the moderator to start the conference. I am hoping it can be done through a vmpro module, I just haven't figured it out yet. Any help would be appreciated.

If you find out I will be very happy because I tried that a few times without success.

The only other way I found was to still use FNE and change the twinning number and then dial in from that number and change it back afterwards.

If you look up Kyle Holladay's "Standard Base Configuration", there are 2 modules that create a moderated dial-in conference bridge for every valid extension number on the system. It uses the Voicemail call back number in the configuration to hold the conference PIN. Callers are placed on hold until the moderator joins, and back on hold if the moderator leaves.

Internal callers, including the moderator, join by dialing 555 and the extension number of the moderator

Outside callers join by calling a DID that points to the Conference module. Participants simply dial the bridge number at the conference menu, and are placed on hold until the moderator joins. Moderators join by pressing ** at the conference menu, dialing their bridge, then dialing their PIN. There is also an unannounced option at the conference menu to create or change the PIN.

Thanks for all of the information but I am still having a hard time getting it to work correctly. I tried working with the new conf bridge module that's included in v10 but the default module didn't seem to work correctly. I also wasn't sure how to program the moderator's password vs the participant's password. I also looked at the link for Kyle Holiday's but couldn't find a specific conference module that I could import and customize to my numbering plan. Does anyone have any detailed instructions on how to program all of the actions within the module or maybe a preconfigured module they'd be willing to share? Thanks

The Participant does not have a password, they just have a bridge number to join. The Moderator has the bridge number, and a PIN.
