I hve a report that is printing detail records, including address information. I would like to suppress a field if duplicated ONLY while the customer name remains the same (and is supressed. Example:

Customer Sales Zipcode Phone
B. J. Gift Shop $150 19302 (543)354-6574 (o)
(543)222-1234 (c)
Happy Gardener $175 13342 (912)543-8879 (o)
(912)543-8877 (c)
Mary's Gift Shop $175 13342 (912)543-7655 (o)
(912)543-7765

Note the sales and zipcode are the same for the last two customers.

In can't figure out how to restart the display with the change in customer name.

Create a suppression formula on the field containing something like:

previous({customer}) = {customer}
and
previous({sales}) = {sales}

for the sales, likewise for any other field.

I guess I should have stated where this goes just in case:

right click the field->Format Field->Common->X-2 next to suppress.
