Sorry new to this and tried to search unsuccessfully.
Using 11R2 and want to suppress using a formula via section expert for a group header.

table "Security" contains a field for "Rights" with various single digit letters, each letter denotes a different ability. i.e ADRV next to persons name. I only want to show names that have a "V" in the value.

PS the link on the formula FAQ page seems broken at the SAP page

 
I think it should be the opposite of that, since fields wiithout "V" should be suppressed:

instr({table.field}, 'V') = 0

lbass you had it, thanks it needed to be reversed for the supression.

ianoctdec - I beleive I could still use that as a filter...
so thanks to the both of you, it's appreciated!
