I made up a report showing monthly Mean time To repair, MTBF, etc for our service organization. The conditional If Then Else statements cover the number of hours per month for my averages and the report is formatted and all is fine. However if I export it to Excel the conditional formula fields will be 0.00 and the data is lost. I have read somewhere (fom Seagate I believe) that this happens with multiconditional formulas and Exporting to Excel. Does anyone have a solution or a workaround ? Some people prefer my reports in Excel not in Crystal format. Thanks

Not aware of this problem, nor your version of CR, but you should make sure that you have the latest hotfixes applied, they often times address exporting, and you might consider exporting to a comma delimited format, or some other format that Excel can open.

Not so sure it is the formula itself that is the problem since formula calculations is supported, but what in the report itself is conditional. Excel does not support some [conditional]things with exporting.

You may want to have a look at couple white papers we have listed, "Export Limitations" and "Exporting to MS Excel" as they may help you out some

Thank you gentlemen for your replies. I'm sorry I should have stated I'm using version 8.5 and I have dl'ed all of the patches and hotfixes Seagate has. I have tried exporting to a csv and every other format that came to mind. It appears to be a problem with the calculations being done before exporting but the "whileprinting" statement etc. didn't help. I will read the white papers, any other ideas you have I will certainly try. Thanks.
