Hi All,

I understand how to highlight every other row in an Excel spreadsheet using conditional formatting and the mod() function. Is there a way to highlight every other data grouping such as by State?

My spreadsheet fields are as follows:

A: AgencyName
B: AgencyAddress
C: AgencyCity
D: AgencyState

Thank you for your time.

Sandy

Select Row 2 in it's entirety and then use CTRL+SHIFT+DOWN a couple of times to get to the bottom of the sheet. Format / Cond Formatting / Change cell value is to formula is and use

=$D2<>$D1

Choose a pastel green from the patterns tab and you will get a delineator at the start of each new state.

Note I started at ROW 2 though, and NOT Row 1.

Regards
