How do i format a record in a colum if the previous record is the same.

cvl

Hi cvl -

You might consider declaring a variable in the general declarations section of your report's code module. Then, in the Detail_Format event of your report, you could check the current field value against the value in the variable, and perform any necessary formatting or other actions. Then assign the current field value to the variable.

Good luck

Thank you for your response.
A little more detail on what my problem is.

I have a report with fields such as part number, qty, order number, due date, etc.
The part number may appear multiple times on diffirent orders.
On the report i need all the orders but i need to identify the part number when it is duplicated.

Thank you for your help
