Hello,

I'm new to visio and not overly technical.

I am creating and organisational chart and I would like to 'conditionally format' the shapes depending on the data within the Custom properties.

[i.e - change the colour of the shape to red IF (custom properties) Authorised = No.

Any direct help or where to find it would be most appreciated.

p.s. - I'm using visio 2000, but I am able to upgrade to 2003 if this will solve the problem.

I've recently delved deeper into the shapesheet and it is quite possible to create if(x,y,z) if x is true then do Y, if false do z inside the custom properties. You can load the custom properties from an external database, or as they are dropped. It is even possible to set some custom properties for the whole page, and when you change the page custom property, it can change any of the shapes in the way you want depending on the way you set your if(x,y,z). I've got my visio pages to do lots of magic that way.
