In CR 7 I have a set of detail record values that looks like this:

AZ
TX
NM
OH

And I want to display all of these values as one record horizontally like this for a given group:

AZ, TX, NM, OH

Any ideas on how would I go about doing this? I've tried doing this with the next() formatting but can't get it to work.

I just added the instructions for this in faq149-243, it is the last item. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting

your 3 formula method works, Ken but I think in this case all that is necessary is to check the box in the Section Expert to print details horizontally into columns(located near or at the bottom of the list).

This would also eliminate worrying if you are approaching the 254 char max for a formula.

Jim,

Your correct, but only if you don't want them to print as a single string with commas. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting
