When I use the & and try to join text together as displayed in the help files I get the cells displayed as text. If I use just the & i get the text out of the cells, but they are joined together without a space between the words. If I try using parathensis i get ERR. what am I doing wrong. I have Smart Suite V9.7 running on Vista. In addition, what is the macro equivalent of the space bar.

If you are joining text and not getting a space you might have to either add a space to the text being joined or instead of just using & use &" "& which will insert the space.

Thanks for the tip I appreciate it. I did however figure out what I was doing wrong, but it came out of a Que 3.4 book on Lotus 123. For some reason the Lotus information manual is not very clear on concatanation. Once again thanks for your help.
