We have an HP Brio using Windows 2000 Professional, that after installing the latest Microsoft updates, it will reboot around 3 times before it stays up in the morning. Then sometimes during the day it will reboot again, for no reason. We tried uninstalling the updates, but that didn't help. This same thing happened to our server and Microsoft sent us a fix, however it isn't working on the ws. We have checked for virus', spyware, ran check disk, disk cleanup. There are no error messages, nothing in the event viewer. The CPU is working & not overheating. I've gone through all the forums and tried everything I can find. Does anyone out there have any idea what would be causing this, or how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

1.check for spyware/malware/virii
2.reboot could also be BOD, if you have the option enabled to reboot when this occurs (ControlPanel->System->Advanced ->Startup and Recovery -> disable "Automatically Reboot".Then you will at least now yout system isn't coredumping

regards
