For Systems Under Warranty
If a desktop computer listed in the "Products Affected" section has a system board exhibiting expanding or leaking capacitors, contact your ASP or HP Customer Support to have the system board replaced.
For Systems Out of Warranty
If a desktop computer listed in the "Products Affected" section has a system board exhibiting expanding or leaking capacitors, contact HP Customer Support to obtain a replacement system board at no charge to the customer for the system board. System board replacement is valid for five years from the date of purchase of the system or Jan 1, 2007, whichever occurs first."
If any of you are having this issue, call them up and they will replace the mother boeard for free, even if your warranty is up. Be aware though, it took two mother boards before one worked, as the first one was also defective.
