We have 2 mac computers at my place of business. One is a G4 and the other a G3. The G3 that I work on never had this problem until a couple of weeks ago. The G4 has had it for almost a year. When I go to horizontally or vertically scale type in Quark my computer freezes up. Is this a virus or a bug? Help!

Does it happen every single time? I've had a similar problem but determined that when the view wasn't defined at percentages such as 100, 200, 150, and so on, but at a fit page size like a 124.8% I would get this problem, especially when using the control panel.

Try "normal" views and see if it helps, if not trash your prefs and go again.

I tried your 2 tips, but it's still doing it. Thanks for trying. I also now notice that it's locking up when I do other actions under style like when I baseline shift, etc. It's wierd because my G3 never used to do it. It's like it picked up a bug or something.

It happens on all my Quark documents. I have Quark 4.11. If I get a chance, I might try to reinstall it.
