I inserted my pci radeon 9200 in my pci slot but when i put in the install cd this message comes up: No hardware device found! Please check your hardware card first or browse its CD diretory for the right driver to install! I have looked everywhere in my add hardware and can't find any drivers whatsoever. please help me

Thank you

First look in Device Manager to see what video card is listed. Then look on the CD for the correct drivers.

I should've specified taht I have an on board video card, an intel graphics controller and it is the only video card it detects.

I checked my device manager and the only to devices marked with a yellow interrogation mark are: Multimedia audio controller and SM Bus controller.

Shut down. Remove new card. Bootup. In BIOS setup, disable the onboard video, shut down (not reboot), install new card, bootup.

I couldnt find any card to disable in BIOS.

Also i've been wondering could it be my mother board? Maybe there are drivers i should get?

There won't be a "card". Somewhere in BIOS should be settings for on-board sound, modem, and video. If no video, there should be a jumper on the mobo to disable video. The first thing you should do is download/read the manual thoughly.
