if you could be provided education materials on any comp tia cert, how would you want it delivered to you.

i.e, PDF download, daily e-mail, video instruction....

Im kinda rehashing an old passion. I just like teaching tech, so i was thinking about a way to teach via the internet. My main idea was me narrating a power point pres as a teacher would to a class. I've watched many MCSE courses this way and i enjoyed it more then reading.

sorry, I'm old school. I still prefer books.

I like the way TestOut does their video instruction.

i.e. Talking head and then an overhead shot of the guy writing on a white board for diagrams etc.

I think for CompTIA tests, book study is good enough for me. It's really hard to draw out the theories that CompTIA seems to pinpoint.

Don't get me wrong, as I've had all types of training. I guess depending on how an individual learns/retains best is what it boils down to. I do have to include how much the student wants to pass the test as well. What I mean is, if someone wants something bad enough, then they will ensure that the best learning method is used/obtained.

I'm using QuickCert right now. It's pretty good. They do the video style with power point notes. The only thing I wish they did more of is that I wish that gave more visual diagrams and pictures.

If you could put together good power point diagrams and visual displays, I think you would have a very beneficial tool.

to be honest I preffer to watch video's first and then back up that with reading the Sybex text books. But I def watch a video first to get a good understanding

I like watching a video and then having the book to delve in deeper. I think watching the video tends to highlight the more important issues that need to be covered and can help you see things that you were not grasping from the book alone
