am planning to take an exam towards ACA(Avaya). CompTIA Convergence+ exam is one of the required components. Any inputs on this is much appreciated for my preparation.
Yes, I took it about 2 and half yrs ago and failed it twice. The 3rd time I barely passed. I studied harder for this test than any other test. I Studied less for the CCNA cert and did great on that test.
Sorry to reserect a long dead thread, but does anyone know where I can get some exam prep materials for CompTIA Convergence+?
The cramsession site that glister recommends no longer has CTP materials and does not have convergence. The westnet materials seem very expensive and there is no information on Convergence+ on the Comptia site itself.
Everyone should probably be made aware that Convergence+ and CTP have significantly different content. There is some crossover but any candidates trying for Convergence+ that just study for CTP are gonna end with problems.
Q: Do you know what they call the guy who finishes last in his class in Medical School?
A: Doctor.
It almost doesn't matter how you pass, so long as you pass you get to call yourself certified. That's just the way certification exams work. That's why most employers don't rely solely on certifications in their hiring decisions, and why you should always have the experience to back up the cert.
The link still works.
It's true that the posted guide has not been updated for the 2007 exam which was recently released (the old exam was retired on Nov 30, 2007). I have not been approached for a revision and quite honestly, I've got too many irons in the fire at present.
Consider the Cramsession CTP study guide a good foundations review and refer to the posted exam objectives. As always, the Official CTP web site for the latest details.
