For some unknown reasons, my compter ( Win XP Pro SP2) reboots each time I start Internet Explorer ! Is this a signal of virus or malwares or registry being corrupted ?

Do I need to re-install Windows ? Please help ...Thanks

Try it from Safe Mode, then try it from Normal Mode but as a different user.

This is the limit of what can be done with repairing IE, do have a look at the section on running with No Add-ons too.

How to use Reset Internet Explorer Settings (RIES)

Other things you can try.

See if System Restore will get you back to a restore point before your problem with Explorer.

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right-click your Drive icon/ Properties/ Tools/ Error Checking. Select both boxes.

Run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.

These are some malware links, but do use your own Anti Virus program too.

SuperAntispyware

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

If they don't work you could try repairing windows by running it over itself. You will lose all your windows updates but your files will be untouched.
