Hi,

when compressing a database Approach returns the message:

'There was an error compressing DBNAME (-1035)'

I've never seen this message before. Has anyone an idea?

thanks,

Lu

It indicates there was a problem reading a memo field. This usually means that one or more records in the dbf file have a pointer that can't be found in the dbt file. In this case, one or more records may have data missing in the memo field or show data from a different record.

There are some tips for repairing corrupt memo fields at in the Approach - FAQs - Fixes folder.

Hi Paul,

thanks. On Friday evening I realized that there is a problem with a memo field, but I didn't found a reason what could be wrong with the memo contents.

By the way, where can I find discriptions of Approach error messages? Exists anywhere a reference manual for Approach?
