COMPONENT TO DISPLAY UPTO 7 MILLION RECORDS ???

Hi !

We are looking for a component which can display upto 7 million records at a time.

As per our knowledge we can display upto 2000 records in a grid control and upto 60000 records in the farpoint spread control. We would like some other information on the topic.

When I initially saw this, my reaction was much the same as dpaulson's.

All the course work and material I have read on the topic of client/server says that you should not put up to 7 million records on a client machine. Not only is it often too much for the computer but is also too much for the end-user.

So my question is:
Why does the end-user require up to 7 million records at one time?
