Maybe this will be helpful to someone working with VM Pro 9.1.6 windows version (or others). I wanted completely custom queue position messages without any breaks in the message. In a queue position action I recorded the complete message into the custom number prompts in the "specific" tab. Then I recorded .7 seconds of silence and put the silent message into the Entry Promts tab. However it was still playing the default number and not the custom message. I found the custom number files that I recorded (cust1.wav, cust2.wav, etc) in C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\WAVS\Custom\NumericPrompts and copied them to C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\WAVS\CustomPrompts\NumericPrompts then they worked great.

Works well if someone desires to have more interesting queue position prompts such as (not real examples) "I'm sorry but you are currently caller 10 in the queue" or "Congratulations, you have reached queue position number 1--I'm sure we'll be with you at any moment

Now I'm going to try copying my custom files to an application server at a customer site . . .

I copied my custom files to the App server /opt/vmpro/Wavs/Custom/NumericPrompts and they came up right away in the queues. I just had to add my silent file as the Entry Prompt for each queue and worked great.

Took a while before I realized you use the Queue Position action =)

I usually just build the messages in a Generic and use $QPOS.wav for queue position.

I have yet to try that way of doing it. Mostly I found it odd that the windows VM Pro apparently placed the recorded files in the wrong directory. Maybe something else was off though. Linux version just has one of those folders and not both which I find interesting.

In 9.1 they changed the custom folder to CustomPrompts. I bet your a Windows VMPro is upgraded from an earlier version.

Fresh 9.1 installations only have the CustomPrompts folder.

I think this was a fresh install at 9.1 however I think I did restore an older callflow or database at one point--that may have done it. Great info thanks!
