I have a partition called D:
After I completely delete all files and folders it stills shows a used space of 2GB.
But when I look at the contents of the partition, there are no files and folders, except System Volume Information.
Does this occupy 2GB of space ???
How to completely delete all files and folders so that I regain the full size of the drive.

Thanks in advance
Mallik

Have you actually deleted the files or sent them to the Recycle Bin? See if your Recycle Bin needs to be emptied.

I actually deleted the files....My Recycle Bin has been emptied.

Only after I format that partition, I am regaining the full size. Just delete is not completely deleting the files.

Thanks in advance

If you have System Restore enabled on that drive then the System Volume Information folder will contain various restore points and consume drive space.

THanks Freestone....That worked..

Thanks in advance
