I like what you've written into this script. I think it would be very useful. Unfortunately, every posting I find has the script truncated right after the Win 7 routine begins.

I was wondering, is the complete script posted anywhere?

Sorry, I was responding to a thread that had been closed. There was a link to respond as a new thread, and I wrongly thought it would maintain the reference to the earlier closed posting.

The thread is:

The deals with disabling unnecessary services in Windows to reduce vulnerability and increase performance.

Every example of the script I've found seems to end right as the Win7 32/64 starts.

I know there's several pieces of software that can be purchased that do the same thing, but I'd prefer to have a source script I can vet and maintain.

ah I see, OK, you were referring to the FAQ that hgate73 wrote LONG LONG AGO (in another galaxy...)...

since he has not been active since September, I would maybe suggest you contact him (see the script for further details)...

other than that I can't be of help...


PS: even though you can access the FAQ with the link above, it does seem to have been removed from the FAQ main site, and I do believe that that is the reason as to why it was removed...
