I have just upgraded a mics from 2.0 to 6.1 using the upgrade tool all went well except i now have no voice mail. Its a NAM 3.0. Is there a compatibility issue between 6.1 and NAM 3.0?

yup needs to be 4.1

Sucks to be me!! Thanks

On a side note. I tried to put the old 2.0 software cartridge back into the MICS hoping to at least return them to a system that had voice mail until I did something about upgrading the voice mail system. Anyway it wouldn't come up. I have no clue as to why it wouldn't unless maybe 6.1 does something in the KSU to prevent older versions from working. I had used the upgrade tool to tranfer the data base from the old cartridge to the the new NVRAM and now the old cartridge doesn't work. Weird

To go backwards one must take the KSU to StartUp and about 2-3 seconds after it starts to reprogram, unplug the KSU. Then insert the old Rls 2 software and let the KSU finnish the initialization. You then load the back up you made of the config and you're done.

Cheers

Upgraded the NAM to 4.1 (actually had to go to 4.0 first and add 16 MB of RAM). all is working thanks for the input
