Compatibility with window XP pro

I am currently running Impromptu version 6.0.371.1 and I am about to change my PC. Does anyone know if this version of Impromptu will run or have any problems with Windows XP Pro.

The first version of Impromptu that Cognos has 'certified' for XP is Series 7 MR1 (to the best of my knowledge).

I have seen innumerable problems with Impromptu 6 installed on Windows XP, especially catalog creation and modification. Certain buttons are grayed out for no reason. It's absolutely a nightmare. Don't even try it.

Sorry to be a pain, but do you know if there is an upgrade path?

I do not have a current support contract with Cognos - is it possible to get version 7 ?
