I just upgraded an 824 to a MICS with 6.1 software hoping to continue to use the Flash. The MICS doesn't seem to see the Flash (Invalid feature code). Although in Maintenance the port reports that a voice mail is connected. This is my first experience with 6.1 software. I know the The Flash works with MICS 5.0. Does 6.x not support it? Anyone know?

Have you done a feature 9 0 3 to activate the feature codes for the flash?

The flash may have been working on an earlier version but you need to make sure that the mics is ready to talk to the flash (has the feature codes assigned)

That activates all the other feature codes 982, 983, ect. When you upgraded the system it looks like the Flash went back to factory specs.

According to my Compatability chart anything above 1.9 will work.

You guys are close, but I think he needs to do the F**xftest. With the flash off!

Delete all feature codes one at a time. It's a pain in the ass, but it works. Once they are gone power up the Flash.
It should see the KSU and ask for the codes.

Good luck.

If you can do F903 the Flash has cold started and all is lost!!!

Thanks for all your input... turns out the flash memory card was wrongly labelled. I plugged the voice mail back into the old system and did a version check. It was a rev 1.1 not 2.0 as was printed on the card. Sometime you can't believe what you read.
