Compatibility of McAfee v8 with Windows 2003 64-bit 1

Hello folks, I have just been assigned the task of managing some Windows 2003 64-bit servers. Our current antivirus solution is McAfee v8 and I think with EPO 3.5 (I don't manage the antivirus env). I heard that there are some compatibility issues with the 8.0 version and since I can't move to the 8.5 version which supports 64-bit. I wanted to know if anyone has run into issues using this version with 64-bit Windows OSses.

We have 8.0i p13 running on x64r2 here... but it IS running in *32 mode. We haven't had any issue with it so far, and am waiting for our epo server to be upgraded before we go to 8.5i.
