Compatibility between IP office and Cisco CallManager

We are currently investigating ways to utilize VOIP to help cut down
on our infrastructure costs. A local service provider has proposed a
"soon to be announced" solution where they will provide multiple SIP T1
trunks for us to route our Internet and voice traffic to them using
VOIP. Basically all inbound and outbound calling will be routed over
the IP T1's via the H323 gateway function in the IP Office to their
Cisco Callmanager. Is the Avaya IP office 412 product compatible with
a Cisco Call Manager? I found an old Avaya document with specifics on
configuring the IP office product to work with the Callmanager, but it
specified a release of 1.x on the Avaya.

Our Current Setup:
-Ip office 412 running 3.0(59) and VMPro.
-3 Voice PRI's for local and long distance.
-All phones are 4406d+
-Currently no VOIP phones or comfiguration.

I am a little worried because the SIP T1s will also carry Internet
traffic, which means there will be a firewall on our side between the
Callmanager and the Avaya.

SIP trunks are scheduled for release 3.2 (so i've heard)

If the cisco call manager accepts H323 trunks then it will work at the moment but SIP will work with other products and carriers.

jml2665,
Yes, thats the same document. Hearing about the voice quality is another item I was looking for. Since this would be all our incoming and outgoing calls, voice quality problems cannot happen (well, you know what I mean).

Just an update, sorry about the delay,

I had a very bad VCM30 module on this one, once replaced the voice quality is nearly perfect like it should be, just the occasional clicks and clips, like most all other voip calls I have been on

Sip trunks are scheduled for release 4.0 wich will be released Q1 of 2007.
The interoperability between Avaya IP Office and Cisco has not changed since IPO 1.x, it will work just fine.
There will be no features but basic call handling will be supported, just like PRI trunks.
Voice quality is no issue if the provider supports Diffserv QoS and using the new VCM 24 modules will improve the quality compared to the "old" VCM 30 modules.
Voip traffic together with data will decrease the security because Voip needs a lot of ports to be left open, a good firewall can help to make it as safe as possible but separate links are much more secure.
