I have data in a spreadsheet that contains performance scores for an entire company. I'd like to use Crystal to chart one department compared to the entire company from that spreadsheet. Is this possible? I've run into a wall.
Thank you

Example of spreadsheet:

ID NAME DEPT TYPE(mgr or prof) PERF_SCORE

What are you charting on change of? Let's say you are charting on change of some date. Add the date field as your on change of field, and then add two summaries--sum of the performance score field, and then a sum of the following formula:

if {table.dept} = "ABC" then {table.perfscore}

I'm charting on change of performance score. I'm trying to graph a comparison of the companies scoring trend compared to a specific department.

That doesn't make sense. To look at trends, you would need to compare at various time periods, and the time value (date) would be the on change of field--it could be set in group options to be "on change of" day, week, month, year, etc. My suggestion still holds.

Forget the word trend. I'm not explaining myself well. All the perf scores are from the same date. I'm only trying to graph the company wide scores to a department like below.

Example:
Dept A: 5 excellent employees and 6 average employees. Company:50 excellent employees and 190 average employees.

I would compare the two by using percentages. So employees as a percentage of total employees of Dept A and Company.
