I have 2 trace file captured in 2 continurous network segment. Capture at the same time and I found 9 packets missed comparing network segement B to segment A.

The problem now is I want to find out what packets exactly are missed in the thousands of packets to identify the root cause, how to do that? It is not possible do that in manual for so many packets...

I find the answer by myself. Thanks for all though there is no response.

I use packetbone to conovert the trace file into Excel and make a forumla to use MATCH() in both spreadsheet. Then it solved.

If you are a Sniffer user,You can get this very easily.

You can download the SFI tool (free tool for only Sniffer user) from the Netscout site.

In this tool, should be included the trace file comparison tool name is "Sandwitch".

Just input the two trace file captured from the two location and get the 4 different out trace file.

One of the trace file only have dropped packets.
