I need to compare the first 2 records for each member in a file that has multiple records. I only want to show where the status in record 1 has changed from record 2. A sample is listed below. I am using Crystal Report XI.

ID# Name Status Eff Dat Term Dt Plan
12345 DOE,JANE A 20060301 20060331 3N
12345 DOE,JANE A 2006020 20991231 3N
12345 DOE,JANE A 20060101 20060131 3N
45678 DOE,JOHN H 20060601 20060731 3N
45678 DOE,JOHN A 20060201 20060531 3N
45678 DOE,JOHN A 20050901 20060131 30

This is what I want to show.
ID# Name Status Eff Dat Term Dt Plan

Thanks

So you want to show record 1 if it differs from record 2, right?

Group by the ID, suppress the details and the group footer.

Right click the group header and select format section and in the X2 next to Suppress place:

{table.status} = next({table.status})

-k

Thank you for responding. That helped ,but I do have a few members that have only 1 record...how can I supress those as well.
