Compaq NIC Mirroring

Hi,<br><br>I want to be able to mirror two NIC's in a Compaq 1600. The NIC is integrated in the motherboard and i will purchase a Compaq NIC now. Is this possible and where can i find the drivers?<br><br>

No this isn't possible. I called Compaq about this myself. It seems that the Chipset on the Imbedded NIC is different than all the other NIC's Compaq makes. As a result, Teaming with the Embedded is not possible.

It depends on what the chipset of the embedded NIC is used. If it is netelligent embedded , buy a netelligent NIC. If it is Intel-based embedded, buy a Intel-based NIC. For your information, all new Compaq NIC will use Intel-based chipset.<br><br>As a result, it's possible to team up embedded NIC with an additional NIC.<br><br>Regards,<br>Y.W.Ng<br>
