Compaq efs + insight agents

I have tried installing Compaq Efs 5.52a and the latest insight agents (5.10) together on two seperate Compaq Proliant Servers; the result is a "K_trap kernal mode trap" and server shutdown, immediately after reaching multiuser mode.

Using a eariler version of either efs or removing the insight agents works around the issue.

Does anyone know which way Compaq/HP are heading the insight agents? Are they being replaced with something?

Hi robmer,
You are not the only one with EFS problems. I cannot answer your question about where HP are going but I have had problems which are resolved by GOING BACK to previous EFS releases - particularly when upgrading older machines. Just keep the CDS sent by Compaq and you can generate the EFS which will work - just produce a stable SCO Unix and be content.
