Compaion Sets with 4.5?

Hi there,

Anyone know for sure if you can use Companion hardware with a switch that has rls 4.5? It's a 1000m. I'm looking through the documentation but haven't come accross anything that says you can for sure.

Sorry, they have an 11c they want to upgrade so it will be a 1000m cabinet running 4.5.

I guess yes, until Nortel approuve all IPE boards to run with new rls. Opt11 boards are IPE compliant

Sounds about right. I also found in the documentation that rls 3 - 7 of companion is supported in the 1000m family but NOT 1000s, e, b, or SRG's.

I don't understand why 1000s and b doesn't support Companion. These PBX accept to have IPE boards.
For 1000E, it seems to be not possible to have DECT boards in MG cause it need a clocking signal. Maybe same for companion. Then 1000T is necessary
