I have a CICS with 5 analog pots lines going to lines 1, 2, 3, 4 and 31..

All of them work fine except 31. I moved the jumper to 32 no workie same with 33, 34

I programmed the phone to show an appearance and ring for those lines. I checked the keys and it has line 31, 32, 33 and 34 but no dial tone.

Lines 31-34 are on the second trunk card. Do you have one, and if you do, it might be bad. Swap trunk cards and see if your problem moves.

On the front of your CICS, the card on the left is for lines 1-4, and on the right is for 31-34.

I only have 3 card slots..

1 and 2 are large and tiny one in slot 3....

Don't tell me I only have capabilities for 4 incoming trunk lines?

Is the card in the left big slot the same as the card in the right big slot?

the one on the right appears to be a different card from the left. it appears the right side is for the stations.

the only station card for a CICS is the 3rd tiny card on the right to add 8 additional stations the slots 1 & 2 are the same for trunks. To make sure that it's not a bad card since your lns. 1-4 work fine move that card to slot 2 and then test lns. 31-34. You didn't mention your software level neither so are you sure that the lns. shouldn't be lns. 25-28. Also when you go into hardware does the CICS see the card if so make sure that it is enabled if not you may have restricted software where your cabinet is only a 4x8. Check some of those things out and let us know what you come up with...

Is the one on the right a card or a false cover?

Adversity is Opportunity

If there is no printing at all on the right hand card it is probably a dustcover and not a card.

Make sure you don,t have restricted software ie: 4x8 non expandable. This means only 4 lines and 8 sets no matter how many trunk card are installed.

If he can see 31 in programming that is the normal software.
