Dose anyone have any information regarding new features for Communications Manager 3.0????

During a local users group meeting, Avaya talked about the new Meet-Me. Keep in mind that it requires their bridging hardware to increase the number of participants. Otherwise it still has the same 6 limit. But at least the bridge hardware can seamlessly integrate with the PBX.

Another cool feature is the new Medpro board. The new one that's supported in CM 3.0 can handle 320 channels! Using this and IPSI boards, you can also run your MCC EPNs over an IP network.

New important features:
1:)IGAR: dynamic rerouting of IP calls when the main location link or processor fails.

2:)Nokia Symbian series 6 softphone lets you use avaya features on your mobile.

3:) use of non Avaya SIP phones (though with some limitations).

4:)distribute announcements to remote locations an run them locally (automatic) for load and survivability reasons

5:)sidestep to other vectors from a vector and resume processing on the original one later (program your opening times and holidays only once etc.)

These are just some of many new features.

Keep in mind, the Extended Meet Me conference has a price to it. It's not just a part of the upgrade.

HmmG3,

can you tell me what kind of bridge hardware is required? i have read business partner offer announce and there wasn't any word about any hardware for extended meet-me, just licensing...
