Communication with the switch

Hi all

Could someone help me as every time I try to run long reports or even just to list stations my system locks it self.
I am connected via a lan connection. the error messsage is:


General communications error

A communications-related error has been detected and reported by your computer.
An unrecoverable error has occurred. The message displayed has been reported by the operating System or Avaya Site Administration.


Anyone??

Sounds like it could be some kind of firewall issue.Do you have a PC Tech that can look at your errors?If not,google the errors you are getting and that might give you a clue.
Just an FYI-in these forums it always helps to list as much specific info about your environment as possible.
The load of software,CM or earlier?,a little about the network environment.

Are you using SSH to login? I have noticed that I have the same error when using SSH(port 5022). If I change my connection to telnet(port 5023) the problem resolves.
There probably is some kind of firewall issue. Need to figure this out because anyone with a sniffer can see my password going across the network on 5023. Also noticed that shift-R, then a shift-tab doesn't work the same way using SSH.
