Communication Problem

Hi,

Our site had a power cut last Friday and since then we have been unable to telnet to one of our RS6000s. We have reseated everything and I have removed and reinstalled the ethernet adapter through smitty.

I though the problem might be with inetd not running, but it is.

When a diag is run, the following error is detected ;

'26020003 Refer to the error code to the FRU index in the system services guide :
FRU: N/A P1.1-12'

The errpt mentions a possible problem with the sysplanar and startlft.

Any ideas ?

ignore the startlft error. try to run diag and see what it turns up, perhaps a fried adapter card or smoked mainboard, bu realize that AIX will blame sysplanar if it cannot find another part to blame. IBM Certified -- AIX 4.3 Obfuscation

managed to fix it. Installed a new PCI network card. The original network card is on the motherboard.
