Hi
happy.gif

I was trying to set up for Common Dialog Control. It won't let me put on the form. What happen? Please advise. (I am still learning how to do.)

Thanks for your help.

2 guesses. If these don't work, please supply more info.

(a) If the control is not your toolbox:
Open the Project / Components menu, tick the MS Common Dialog Control option in the list, click the "Apply" button. The Common Dialog control will then appear in you tool bar and you can add it to the form.

(b) If the form is an MDI form:
The only control you can put directly on an MDI form is a picture box. But then you can put other controls on the picture box.

Yes I did but the error message popped up "License information for this component not found. You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality in the design environment (Error 429)" If you know about it, please help.

Thanks.

hi chsu,

This comes up every so often, it's a corruption in your registry and can be fixed with a microsoft utility that you can download from their site -- have a look for vbc.exe

Hi Mike

You mean I should find the registry from VB 5.0 CD. Like I should re-install it? I am just new with it. Please HELP!

Thanks,
chsu
